On behalf of one of our Tanzania based clients, we are looking for a competent and experienced Chemical Engineers. He/she will be involved in the design and development of a diverse range of products.

Chemical Engineer Job Responsibilities:

Perform chemical analysis and physical property testing of materials and products.
Research, design, and develop new production processes.
Coordinate and perform tests.
Analyse data to develop conclusions.
Communicate results of analysis and research.
Evaluate current processes and develop improvements to safety, quality, and efficiency.
Create standards and specifications for processes, facilities, products and tests.
Assist in the establishment of timelines and budgets.
Install, maintain, and inspect equipment and facilities.
Perform routine calibration and troubleshooting of instruments.
Provide training and mentorship to technical staff.
Chemical Engineer Qualifications/Skills:

Applied knowledge of analytical chemistry techniques
Demonstrated ability to solve highly technical problems
Strong technical writing ability
Direct experience with the use of spreadsheet and database software to compile, analyse, and present data
Familiarity with process improvement methodologies (Six Sigma, lean manufacturing)
Ability to execute tasks with minimal oversight
Excellent presentation and verbal communication skills
Education and Experience Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering or a related field
Master’s degree in chemical engineering or a related field desirable is an added advantage
3 to 5 years’ experience in a production or research environment

On behalf of one of our Tanzania based clients, we are looking for a competent and experienced Steel Works.

Job Responsibilities

Measure, fabricate, cut, weld and shape steel parts such as girders, columns and frames using equipment including shears, welding tools and torches
Hoist steel parts to their appropriate location, ensuring proper alignment and positioning and bolting them into place
Assemble and use equipment, including setting up cable and chain systems, for hoisting or moving steel parts and disassemble it after completion of the task
Follow blueprint and instructions from supervisors to perform all tasks involved in assembly of steel structures; communicate with supervisors and coworkersto ensure smooth teamwork
Notify supervisors immediately of safety or structural concerns
Take apart structures or equipment in accordance with directions and standard operating procedure; repair steel components in older structures
Direct crane operators as they move and position steel components
Drill holes and align parts with framework in preparation for riveting; use tools including levels, laser tools and plumb bobs to ensure precise alignment
Job Skills & Qualification

Required:

Completed steel worker apprenticeship
Proficient in use of tools, including welding equipment, laser levels, jacks and metal shears
Able to read and understand blueprints
Knowledge of applicable safety regulations
Able to work at extremely great heights, including top levels of skyscraper
Excellent work ethic
Preferred:

Basic proficiency in use of office software

Primary responsibilities

Use electrical currents to create heat and bond metals.
Over sea the selection and procurement of materials and equipment required for TIG welding
Measure and align work pieces using straight edge and clamps
 Over sea the set up of TIG welding equipment
Operates power and hand tools
Maintains good working knowledge of welding characteristic of metal such as stainless steel
Weld materials in Flat, Horizontal, Vertical and overhead position
Adjust gas gauge to set the flow rate of shielding gas
Creates quality welds according to blueprints (weld symbol)
Inspects welds for accuracy

On behalf of one of our Tanzania based clients, we are looking for a competent and experienced Piping Foreman.The Piping Foreman will assist in the supervision of craft activities to assure optimum productivity and construction compliance.  The Piping Foreman will supervise the lay out, assembly and installation of various sizes and types of drain pipe.  The Pipe Foreman will study project specifications with Pipe Superintendent to plan sequencing and schedule for pipe installation.

Job Description

Duties

Coordinates and supervises daily activities of the crew.
Utilizes heavy equipment to excavate, install and backfill drainage pipe.
Sequences pipe installation to reduce inference with other project activities and the public.
Continually inspects work site, surveying for potential hazards or safety concerns.
Responsible for crew safety. Establishes safe work environment that complies with the Company safety program.
Observes assigned equipment to detect machinery malfunctions. Assures the proper operation and maintenance of equipment.
Analyses job cost reports to ensure production is within budget.
Reviews and approves employee time reporting.
Maintains professional relationship with Owner.
The Piping Foreman must be able to climb on and off heavy mobile equipment safely.
Qualification Requirements

This position typically is not an entry-level job, as it requires demonstrable previous experience as a Pipe Foreman.

A high school diploma or general education degree (GED) is preferred.
Must be able to understand work directions and communicate effectively with management, fellow employees and Owner.
Minimum of three (3) to five (5) years’ experience required.
Physical Demands.

The following physical demands are representative of those that must be met by a Pipe Foreman to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

Constant physical effort, including standing, is required during a regular work shift of at least eight hours per day. Employee must be able to stand for extended periods of time, and to stoop, bend, and crouch as required to perform Key Duties.
Frequently work with hands extended overhead, sometimes in conjunction with the operation of hand power tools.
Ability to lift and carry, on a frequent basis, at least 50 pounds and, at times, as much as 90 pounds, as may be assigned.
Manual dexterity to hand-carry generators, lumber and other construction materials, forms, power tools, and hand tools.
Physical dexterity involving stretching, proper placement of legs, and use of arms and hands in repetitive motions.
Maintain constant alertness to the multiple concurrent activities of the construction site, including the activities of other employees and contractors, the operation of stationary equipment, and the movement of mobile equipment.
Must be able to climb on and off heavy mobile equipment safely.
Frequently walk on uneven surfaces, including natural ground in varying weather conditions.
Capable of being certified to enter confined spaces, including climbing into and out of excavations up to 15 feet in depth, using ladders or crawling, as required.
Sufficient skill and visual acuity, under varying degrees of light, darkness, and weather conditions, to provide direction and flagging for operators of cranes with rated capacities of up to 300 tons.
The Pipe Foreman must be able to climb on and off heavy mobile equipment safely.

On behalf of one of our Tanzania based clients, we are looking for a competent and experienced Pipe Fitter.He/she will be responsible for assembling and installing pipe systems, pipe supports, and hydraulic and pneumatic equipment. Installs pipe for steam, hot water, heating, cooling, lubricating, sprinkling, and industrial production and processing systems.

Primary responsibilities

Coordinate with job site manager to configure pipe system layout.
Order proper pipes and other materials.
Select supports, hangers, and hydraulic cylinders.
Assemble materials at job site.
Select type and size of pipe.
Cut, thread, and hammer pipes according to pipe system specs.
Use saws and cutting torches to craft proper pipe sizes.
Turn off steam, water, or gas from pipe section.
Secure pipes to walls and fixtures using brackets, clamps, tools or welding equipment.
Secure pipes to radiators or tanks.
Repair and maintain pipe systems and components.
Resolve problems such as obstructions or holes.
Dip nonferrous piping materials in molten tin and lead to prevent erosion, or galvanic and electrolytic action.
Remove water from flooded manholes or basements.
Repair cracks and leaks.
Assemble and secure pipes by welding, Brazing, soldering and threading joints
